Recommend a decent NAS

I'm looking for an easy way to backup data between various computers and share the data when needed. A NAS seems like the best way to go.

I need something with:
1. Build in redundancy (RAID 1 would be perfect)
2. Permissions / passwords / some way of limiting access to specific directories on a per-login basis (multiple accounts with separate usernames / passwords would be perfect)
3. Small, low power consumption, easy to setup, good web management interface
4. Fairly cheap. Would prefer $100 or less before HDDs.

Any suggestions?

Take a look at Microsoft's Windows Home Server:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/winfamily/windowshomeserver/default.mspx

The software is $100 and can be installed on a seven-year-old junk PC. Just add hard drives and a cheap PCI SATA disk controller if your old PC doesn't have one.

It does password-protected file sharing, remote file access, folder-level redundancy, and makes automatic daily full system image backups of up to ten Windows PCs.
