I'm looking to upgrade to a new phone but it's kinda hard to figure out what to buy these days. Most of the new phones I see have waaay to many options. I don't want to pay for a digi cam/mp3 player/toaster/tivo type of phone, I just need a simple cell with a few features.

What phones should I look into if I want the following:

Bluetooth Enabled
Audio Memo/Voice Message Recorder
Speaker Phone Playback
Razr like body style (small and flat)

That's really all I need/want. Any phones like that in the 50-75 dollar price range?

huh? it has numbers? It just doesn't have silly features i'll never use.. like my last phone - the samsung a900. Had so many features, all of which just killed the battery life (I tried using the GPS but I'd get maybe 30 min worth of life).. The vx8600 has lasted me almost a week without recharging and the reception is awesome.

Sounds like you just want a RAZR. I know I've seen 'em for ~$50.

I got my parents the razr for - $50 (free plus $50 mail in rebate) from amazon. my lg cost $50 but had a $50 rebate. Well worth it. It's an awesome phone. My favorite phone since the good ol' days of the motorola v60

I would love to know how you guys are getting these phones for cheap without contracts. No sarcasm, I would actually like to know, it seems like every time I try to look for a new phone all I can find are deals with contracts.

I didn't feel like signing a new 2-year deal with Verizon when my daughter needed a new phone a couple months ago so I just grabbed her a Razer for $179 with no contract... I might have found a better deal, but I didn't want to spend a lot of time shopping around.
