Required
- Quad-band GSM
- Good reception
- Smallish size
- Good battery life
- less than $500

Desirable:
- 3G capability
- Easily unlocked
- Less than $400
- Flip-style rather than candy-bar style

Undesirable:
- Feature bloat

I'm not going to use the camera, or the organizer, I don't want iTunes or any MP3 related features and I use WAP very infrequently. I already have a camera, a PDA, and an MP3 player, I don't need this functionality in a phone.

Any suggestions?

Yea well don't recommend POS cell phones over a year old. It's not like you know very much about cell phones. 850 reception is not key in the US. 1900 is widely used in metropolitan cities. I don't even know if you really need quad band these days. Sure I have a quad band phone (V600), but I've never seen it have an advantage over my triband phone (K750i). Now you stop being an asshole. No personal attacks were started until you started posting.

Read the OP...

-quad band
-flip
-good reception
-nothing fancy
-good battery life

I currently own both the v635 and Z520i and they fit the OP's needs just fine. You call them a "piece of crap" yet you probably never even used one.

I have also owned the K750i it's a decent phone, but the OP doesn't need all the features of it...

BTW...the Z520i is a new phone:roll:
