I hopped on the deal in the Hot Deals forum for the Iomega 12x10x32 (aka Plextor) CD-RW drive like everybody else.
I'm having the same problems as a lot of people who've purchased the drive have, namely that with CloneCD and the Iomega drive, it doesn't like to read subchannel data. I've screwed with upgrading the flash and even playing with the DMA. Short of renaming the drive, which I'm leary of doing, I'm out of ideas.
So at this point, if the mountain won't come to me, I'll go to the mountain. Forget trying to make the Iomega read subchannels. Just go buy a CD-ROM drive that will and read from that one while burning to the Iomega. I figure it's a good time for me to upgrade anyways since I'm at 20x and my CD-ROM drive won't read subchannels. This is kosher right or am I up in the night?
Does anybody have any recommendations on what CD-ROM drives read subchannels? I've heard that some of those cheapy Delta's do, and if that's the case, what the heck, it's only $20-$25 for one of those drives.
TIA.

EDIT: I guess the other option is if there is another piece of software that reads subchannel data, in particular if it can read SecuROM discs. The only one I haven't tried so far is DiscJuggler.
