I'm taking a world literature class in high school and I need to read a book from a different country (not US or Western countries). After I read it, I need to visit a place near where I live where I can learn about the culture. I live near San Francisco, so there are a lot of places I could visit. Also, I need to be done by around June 1, so it can't be too long. I have no idea what to read so any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks.
