Now that AMD 6x series appears onboard for some 3d action,i want to get started with purchase of a internal pc blue-ray player/burner.I am not concerned with cost.I'd love to hear some brand/model# advice and any personal experience you have with such hardware and burn media would be appreciated.:)

I have this Lite-ON iHOS104-08 and have been pleased with it. The -06 model looks to be the OEM version of the same thing, so I'd probably get that today. It's only a reader though, I think the burners are still too expensive and somewhat pointless given the cheapness of flash/hdd/online backup.

Just a quick review.Very pleased with this entire combination. The included software is an option limited functional copy of cyberlink powerdvd 9 for blu-ray viewing.

The latest firmware for liteon iHBS 112 2 was not to be found on the liteon website anywhere, but it is findable.

Dvdfab blu-ray copy has me 7 for 7 perfect backups.

Dvdfab blu-ray copy has me 7 for 7 perfect backups. The only anomaly i find is that some of my blu-ray movies have no mouse support, therefore unplayable in their present form on a pc without modification.

You can use the On-screen remote of the PowerDVD software to get around this.
