Looking for something new...

I like almost all genres, except numetal, modern country, glam rap, and William Hung.

please put what kind of music it is too.

I'll put a few down...

Fu Manchu - hard rock

Acid King - stoner feedback metal / female vocals

Breakestra - soul breakbeats

J Church - indie pop punk

Company Flow - hip hop

Ben Harper
Jack Johnson

I'm sure they are played a lot on some stations, but I've never heard them (then again I rarely listen to the radio).

Strangers as Heroes. Good luck finding anything by them, though. They were a band at my college... doing pretty well, but dropped off the face of the earth in less than a month. Their record company has no clue who I'm talking about, no one at school remembers them, and the band members have disappeared.

Hmm. Oh well.

Oh, and Nickleback. I've never heard them on the radio. ;)

I don't know how well these bands are known in the states, but they are canadian indie bands that found decent success in the mid 90's. Never really made it into the states maybe with the exception of IME.

The Age of Electric
Suggest checking out Their self titled album and "Make a pest a pet"
Notable songs: Remote Control, Ugly, and more...

I Mother Earth
Their early albums, (when Edwin fronted the band), "Dig" and "Scenery and Fish" are quite good
Notable songs: Levitate, Not Quite Sonic, One More Astronaut, Another Sunday, Used to be alright, Pisser, Raspberry
Their latest albums have a different lead singer, though he sounds remarkably like Edwin. Possibly worth checking out. "Juicy" is a great song

Edwin realeased a solo album that was also pretty good "Another Spin Around the Sun"

Moist
Also, their early albums "Creature" and "Silver" are worth listening to.
Notable songs: Ophelia, Resurrection, Leave It Alone, Tangerine, Gasoline, Push, Silver.

"Mercedes 5 and dime" is their most recent album (2000?) and most mainstream.
Breathe and Underground are ok songs. Didn't really get into this album

Wide Mouth Mason
Notable songs: Why, Companion (Lay Me Down), SugarCane, My Old Self, Midnight Rain

Audiovent
The Energy, Beautiful Addiction, Back and Forth, Underwater Silence, Gravity, Stalker....hell their whole "Dirty Sexy Knights in Paris" album rocks.

Pretty much one hit wonders after this...

Limblifter
Some good songs - Tinfoil, Wake Up the the Sun, Ariel vs. Lotus

Zuckerbaby
Overexposure

Static In Stereo (Contains past members of The Age Of Electric listed above)
Before My Time

Staind (I know very popular and hated but they have an old song that just rocks)
Mudshovel (Lound and heavy, it does not very whiney as usual)

Spacehog
In the meantime (love this song)

Soul Asylum
Misery, Just like anyone, Runaway Train

Shinedown
Fly from the inside, 45

The Flys
Got you where i want you

hmm, i think that is it.
If you want to check out any of the songs listed, LMK... i have most of them.

Hah. They have a song on the Dumb and Dumber Soundtrack.
"The Bear Song" I love that song.
