The Watchmen -- any or all of McLaren Furnace Room (1st album, and second best), In the Trees, Brand New Day, Silent Radar (their best), and SloMotion (double disc, the second being remixes of stuff from their other 4 albums). Fav band
Prozzak -- Hot Show,Saturday People. Described by my friend as "bubble gum pop." The only band I know of to incorporate the ICQ "Uh oh" alert sound into a song.
Barstool Prophets -- Crank, The Last of the Big Game Hunters. Think Bare Naked Ladies in terms of sound, but with more consistant style, and much better songs.
Those being all Canadian bands, they should be plenty obscure for ya
If you want Floyd, you can't beat Momentary Lapse of Reason and The Wall.
(On a side note for Floyd, can anyone think of a song title longer than "Several Species of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together in a Cave and Grooving with a Pict" off the Ummagumma album?)
