Will overclock in the future when I research more and learn a little about it.

Considering GSkill 2 x 512MB DDR400, but there are varying types of this RAM, and I am not sure I know what the advantages are of the more expensive types. I would also not hesitate to get one stick of 1GB if there is a valid reason.

the system I am going to build is basically the same as yours, and in my thread that you can see on the first page, people suggested any of the popular brand value sticks
 
I would go with 2GB's due to many of the next gen games will utilize the 2GB's and also video editing loves to eat memory up. I would go with 2 GB's of Corsair Value Select or OCZ platinum EL if you want some good overclocking memory.
