It needs to be great for games too - so far all the cordless ones I have tried have been pretty poor as they seem to loose signal or just not respond quickly enough.

I was thinking of a :

Microsoft Digital Media Keyboard Pro

or a

Logitech Media Keyboard Elite

I don't want to spend a lot but I think I need corded and not cordless for my usage...?

I have a Dell keyboard here at work, its pretty good - except that it would look a bit weird on my clone pc. :/

Good man, never stray from MS or Logitech when it comes to keyboards and mice. I've used keyboards from all makes and models (Including Saitek) and I will never buy anything except for logitech. MS is roughly the same quality, with an immaculate warranty.

You may also enjoy a cordless optical mouse, I love the accuracy and not having a cord snagging.
