You guys aren't really listening to his request.... come on Greenday, Chemical Romance...

That's nothing like slipknot, nsync, kanye west or system of a down, etc.

Forget Modest Mouse, they are the Good Charlotte of indie music.

If you like stuff like Green Day, check out some Streetlight Manifesto, Jawbreaker, even some classics like The Clash and Iggy Pop, maybe even some David Bowie.

Great picks! I'm guessing you didn't like NFG, Starting line and Something Corporate because they are a bit too mainstream?

To xSkyDrAxp: On a different note, you should REALLY try BNO (boys night out) if you're into this kind of music, they are amazing and not many people know of them. By far the best scream-o band. It's a bit of a stretch (lol) from Green Day but after you've developed the taste, these guys will rock your socks off.
EDIT: Album: Make Yourself Sick

You like a lotta Canuck bands Eh xSkyDrAxp?

Hey OP; just follow what you like and it tends to lead you to more good stuff. Read about the bands you're into, see the shows and have at 'er. Soon your years will have passed and if you're not careful all you'll have is a terabyte of recommended mp3's that you've never liked to begin with. Buy the albums, read the liners, see the shows.w00t.

Every band up there is pretty much mainstream at this point in time.

And to keep it on topic, check out Taking Back Sunday too.
