recomendations for a new case?

I'm looking for a case for a new build. I'd like it to have

  • side window
  • LEDs
  • sturdy (e.g. made of metal)

Although it lacks any LEDs, I would recommended considering the Silverstone FT02; it quite solid, got a nice window and has great thermals. One thing I will say, however, is that the window is on the 'right' side of the case whereas it seems most cases featuring windows place them on the 'left' side of the case.

A great case though.

I'm not spending $250 on a case

Check out the Cooler Master CM690 II. It's got great reviews (both professional and on retail sites). You can pick up a side panel with a window.

Ehhh, I have a 650D. I'd wait until the revision comes out. Even for $150 bucks it's got some problems. There isn't enough clearance behind the solid panel for all the cables. The fan's suck something fierce and not in a good way. My GPU temp jumped 6 to 8 degrees coming from the Antec 900. Also the fan design makes the front fan whine because they put a metal mesh right in front of it and the way the airflow works messes it up. If you want to try and improve the airflow from the front fan by moving the HD cage to the floor, you can't put a 3.5in drive in the bottom rack if the cage is installed because it hits bottom edge where the door fits. A 2.5in will go, but it's a fight.

The Antec 902 V3 is 90 right now at Newegg (with promo code and rebate). I recently bought this case, and it's a tank. The only drawback is that it doesn't have enough exposed/exterior drive bays in my opinion. It has 3, I could have used 4.
