I'll give a nod to the Mitsu monitors, I use 2040u/2060u models at work, and an older 2020u at home (still nice and bright). The 2070 should be more of the same.

I have the 2060u, perfect geometry, deep rich colors and crisp text. I love mine, I dual it with a Samsung 900SL.
 
I've had a Hitachi CM823F for a year and like it quite a lot.

I have it in 1280x960 driven by a Radeon 9700 pro.

I'll look at the link sited above, but one of the reasons I got this monitor was the exceptional quality I've had with Hitachi TVs. My first color TV was a Hitachi and it did a great job for more than ten years. I only got rid of it because it could only handle 30 cable stations.
