Check out Consumer Reports. They have reviewed most of the front loaders. They also said that the washer/dryer communications link was a useless feature.

My 20 year old Maytag top-loading washer and drier are still running perfectly.

My brother bought the Maytag front loader and loves it.

He also bought the Maytag drying center, which has a drum and separate shelves and a bar for hanging clothes to dry. Luckily he bought the gas version, which he really likes. The electric version does not provide the same amount of drying heat when using multiple drying stations.

I saw that dryer at Lowe's. So nice. I can't justify buying it though. :(
