I'm going to be making non-dairy vanilla frosting tomorrow, and I was wondering if anyone had an easy recipe...I've searched google, and found a bunch of options, but many of them seem more complex than I'd like. Non-dairy basically means soy milk instead of regular milk, and pareve (that's kosher non-dairy) margarine instead of butter.
Figure I can use confectioner's sugar, soy milk, vanilla extract, and any basics like flour or margarine...I'd like to avoid anything requiring heat/stovetop; I'm looking to do this quickly and easily. Would like enough to cover a 9x13, though I can always make more...
I did find one recipe that looks like a decent shot-but does anyone know a) how much margarine is equivalent to a stick of butter and b) how much is "1 box of confectioner's sugar" (I dont have time to go to the store myself to look these up...)
thanks a lot.
