Seller had poor communication and vague excuses, so I filed a case with paypal when I didn't get anything for 3 weeks, then I filed the complaint and the refund came in today.
Thing is, I got the package on monday, it was sent out last week(the day I filed the complaint, of course).
I would normally refund the seller immediately, but I have read about people who give the money back via paypal when this happens, only to have paypal realize their mistake and then take the amount out of the buyer's paypal balance AFTER it has already been given back to the seller! They reverse the reversal!
I'm thinking my best option is to wait a week, if the balance is still sitting there in my account, then I'll contact paypal and tell them, then contact the seller and let the seller know that paypal is taking care of the situation.
Especially seeing how the seller was never really in contact with me to begin with and was giving me the runaround, it will be very interesting to see how quickly the seller is willing to communicate now!
Just looking for some input on the best steps to take with this one(keeping in mind the horror stories of paypal).
This isn't about me trying to "scam" the seller or anything, it's about protecting mself from paypal's infamous double dipping.
Any advice?
Thanks
