I got in on a deal with a X800 PRO VIVO refurb from newegg @ $109 but the damn card artifacts right on startup :|

Since it is a VIVO card, the previous owner probably tried to flash it and failed...Should I try to flash it with a X800PRO bios and try to salvage it or should I just get an rma from newegg? The thing is, I'm afraid that Newegg will only refund me instead of giving me another card considering the low price I got it at...

Hello sindows,

Unfortunately, since the product in question is refurbished we cannot issue an RMA for a replacement. We cannot guarantee the stock of refurbished products so we would have to issue a full refund if you wish to return the product to us.

Our return policy for refurbished products is a 15-day refund period from the original invoice date. Please feel free to PM me with your Sales Order number (SO#) if you wish to return the product.

That'll shut people up asking "I cooked my card OC'ing it and flashing the BIOS, shall I RMA it?"

And yes, it's cool to have customer support on the forum. Shame I'm in the UK really. :(

Agreed... RMA it. BTW which brand was it and do you need VIVO? Newegg Refurb has had some great deals on X800GTO cards for that price range. I've gotten a few Sapphires and they all have looked brand new in retail box with all accessories. All four have worked great. Also, if you are refurb-shy, go for the X850XT deal for $175-$15MIR=$160AR. Where at? Newegg.
