Rechargeable batteries

I have a Sanyo Ni-Mh battery charger (NC-MQH01U). that came with four 2500mAh Ni-Mh AA batteries.

Last week I bought some cheap 1000mAh Ni-Mh AAA batteries on the web. On the batteries, it says:
Standard charge: 15hrs at 100mA
Quick charge: 4.5hrs at 300mA

I understand absolutely nothing about batteries, so can I charge those AAA's with my Sanyo charger (it has two slots for AAA batteries).

Sure why not. Let us know if your charger pulls a Dell laptop on you.

I don't know, that's what it says on the batteries... but I know for a fact that charging my four 2500mAh AA takes a bit less than two hours...

heh sad, my quick charge duracell is 15 minutes🙂

Those were $60CDN. I paid $25CDN for my Sanyo charger/batteries and I'm very happy with it.

damn, quick charge is 4.5 hours?

Thought the same thing, I have a 15 minute energizer quick charger and about 80 aa's and 15-20 aaa's and its the best damn thing since sliced bread.

And I been using the same batteries on it for the last 2 years so the comments about having to buy batteries all the time is bs because I for one havent had any problems and they get hot, super hot and yes they do last a long time still too.

Geez, I had only seen 800mAH AAA's, never 1000mAH.

They should be alright. A smart charger should be able to figure out how to safely charge whatever's in it.

Is there anything on the label on the charger about its charging output current?

Edit: Found the manual (Warning: PDF). It looks like it is rated to charge cells as weak as a 250mAh Nicad AAA. It doesn't give any figures though on the actual current flow per-channel when charging the various cell types..
