Recharchable batteries?

Ok, so the Canon Rebel K2 is a 35mm, but its sill and SLR. It eats the little lithium C2 batteries like candy, and they cost $15 a piece. Is there a recharble version of this? The only thing I've been able to find is this:

BP-220 Battery
http://www.amazon.com/Canon-BP...-Cameras/dp/B00008A5VN

Which takes 4 AA batteries (and some people say recharble ones won't work in this)

if they do, then you also have to buy this:

http://www.amazon.com/Energize...AS/ref=pd_bxgy_e_img_b

So the total cost is $35+$30 = $75 before shipping? The camera was only $200....

Any other options??

The only thing that I could find for rechargeable CR2 (NOT C2) batteries is this:

http://www.amazon.com/Juice-Re...-Starter/dp/B000BOPG8G

Otherwise if you want to use AAs you're stuck having to buy the battery grip. Rechargeable AA NiMH batteries say they are only 1.2V, but fully charged they put out ~1.45V, which should be enough to power the camera. Don't know how long they will hold this 1.45V for though. You don't HAVE to buy the Energizer charger though. Any decent AA charger should work.
