recently put in an mp3/cd player in my car but each song on the CD plays at a different volume (using nero) any tips?

are the mp3's different bitrates?

might try some audio editing software to adjust the level in every track accordingly...but for the trouble it would take to do that, itd probably just be easier to change the volume...

Your mp3s all have different volumes since they were more than likely ripped and encoded from different sources and thus you need to do some kind of normalizing of the mp3s before you burn them to the CD for best results. The program of choice for accomplishing this is Mp3Gain and you can find it HERE. I usually use Mp3Gain to normalize all my mp3s on my HD so that when I listen to them in WInAmp I don't have to keep fiddling with the volume and the side benefit of doing your whole collection is that when you go to make a CD for the car then all your files will already be normalized to a common standard.
