How many Nvidia fans have opted to go to ATI recently, say at the 570 level or above?
I only tried ATI once and had driver problems...

Are you asking how many got 6970's and 6990's? any why they didnt instead get a 580?
Does the level of performance matter? in this question.
Im only rocking a 5870, but i ll say Ive not run into driver issues and consider this "ati driver issues" as nvidia fanboy fud.

I'm just asking who switched to ATI from Nvidia, who bought or was considering buying a GTX570, 580, or 590 and what swayed them to make the switch...

I don't think some understand his post...
He wants to know how many, if any, people who WERE considering a GTX 570 (or higher) and went with an AMD option instead, having owned Nvidia prior. And then the reasons why they made the switch.

Drivers are not an issue and if somebody tells you they have an issue, then he/she is full of it.

Obviously there ARE driver issues, hence the frequent updates to the drivers.
I still can't understand the super brand loyalty for green and red. I have always just went with what was the best performance for how much I was willing to spend.
@ Fardringle & Obsolete thx for understanding what i actually meant.

I think what Gikaseixas meant to say is that some people imply that ATI has huge game-breaking issues with their drivers and Nvidia's drivers are perfect so that should be the reason to never buy an ATI product. That is obviously not true, or as you said, Nvidia wouldn't need to release new driver versions on a regular basis (just like ATI does).
It just means they actually care. Rapid development is how everything is going today, from Chrome to Firefox to video card drivers.. you get the fixes out there.
New games come out every week. AMD is the only responsible company in the market today compared to NV and Intel.
IDC by your logic nVidia has the same issues. They too have monthly updates, beta releases and so on.
Why would you make such a statement when referencing a company that has a monthly (and sometimes even more frequent) driver release schedule plus hotfixes?
If the drivers weren't an issue, wouldn't that driver update frequency and hotfix, patch, beta release frequency be a lot closer to zero?
Obviously there ARE driver issues, hence the frequent updates to the drivers.
But why try and act like it isn't true? Every product out there that can be updated has an update cycle to it, from your mobo's BIOS to the security updates for your OS to the firmware for your SSD to the drivers for your GPU. If everything was perfect then there'd be no need for updates, but nothing is ever perfect and thank god we get updates to correct the less acceptable problems in time.
