Recent reinstall and now receiver sometimes doesn't get audio signal unless I reset

So I'm running a Hercules GTXP, and outputting via digital coax to a H/K receiver, and after the reinstall, sometimes there's no signal until I reset the computer, which is maddenning, since I always have music going. Anybody have any idea on how this could be? There aren't any "recent" driver updates, so this is the same drivers set I used last time...

I don't get why it's so random!!!
