Hey guys, my coworker just got a new phone, we both did a speed test and were surprised at the newer AT&T LTE speeds in the area (Langhorne, PA). This is something recent because periodically i'll run one if speeds seem slow. I'm currently using an iPhone 6S plus.

The download speed is more than double my home internet. I think this is awesome but those download caps will be consumed much faster.

I get around 140/35 at my house with Verizon. And yes the downloads actually sustain around 17.5 Mb/s consistently if the host is capable. Use it as my home internet, usb tether to my Asus router. Still have unlimited :D.

Also nice to have it on all my business trips, as pretty much every hotel now caps the speed to like 1-2mbps. Heck I hotspot at my office all day too, it's faster than our "business class" internet and no one can see what I'm browsing either :).

Also new phone can make a huge difference.

Note II: ~50mbps
Note 4: ~80mbps
Nexus 6P: ~140mbps

All in my house in the same spot.

how are people getting those ridiculous speeds. i live in silicon valley and i get about 10 mbps down on average, not anywhere near what u guys are getting

Maybe you live in an area with more demand for bandwidth so they limit it? Who knows.
