i am having a problem with office 2003 running on vista buisiness where i need disable the recent file list for the document imaging syetsm. if a user opens a file with a name longer then 26(i think) characters it will crash the program if i move the mouse over the file menu(like if you are going to save or print the file). i went into the registry and deleted the list of files the program works agian. but as soon as they open a long file agian it stops working. what i would like to do is stop it from keeping that list. i have no idea how and i am guessing its just something simple that i am missing but i cannot find it. it is referenced in this thread here but there is not a answer to how to disable it.
