Recent Buy.com order problems?

I recently ordered a set of Creative DTT3500 speakers from buy.com and when the order processed it showed the status as "on order". However, when I was browsing and every time I have checked since then, their supposed live inventory shows it as "usually ships in 24-48 hours". In the past, at least with my orders, that would usually work out as true. I emailed them about it and they said it would be 2 weeks before the speakers would be available from their suppliers.

Has anyone else experienced this type of problem with recent orders? As much as we include buy.com in our Hot Deals, it's a bit annoying when their inventory system is not properly updated.

To answer your question, I don't buy from Buy.com for that very reason. I gave them three separate chances to get it right; after they misrepresented their inventory (by two weeks or more) on three straight purchases (both online and during calls to their service reps), I made a decision to never purchase from them again.
