Hello people of ATOT!

I bought my mother a nice LCD TV for christmas and instead of plugging the receiver into the cable box, I connected the amp/receiver directly to the TV. Sound is a lot better but problem is we can't control the receiver volume with the remote anymore. Is there a way to change the receiver volume via the TV remote?
 
check the tv menu, there should be an audio output option that lets you switch between fixed output (typical home theatre setup) or variable. Use variable.
