Reccommened me a good fully/semi modular PSU - 600W and up

I was using a Corsair 750tx on my main build. My other computers PSU died, so im putting this PSU in that computer, and upgrading the one thats in mine.

Im using a overclocked 3570k and a GTX 970. Dont plan on doing SLI in the future, so I guess my power requirements arent too high. My biggest gripe with the 750tx was all the extra cables - I dont need that many for my setup. Also the 4/8 pin motherboard connector cord was kinda short, and I would have to run it over my video card to get it to reach - so I guess I'd like something a little longer - not completely necesary though. (Ive got a huge case - Antec P280, so there is a lot of distance from PSU to the motherboard.)

Id like to spend under $100, but if I have to pay a little more no big deal. Id like to stick with brands Ive used (Corsair, Seasonic, and Anetc- even though the one that just died on me was an Antec)

EDIT: Didnt specify fully or semi when I posted. Either one is fine - so probably semi since theyre cheaper.

Also, whats the minumum watts I need for my setup? (3570k and 970, both overclocked)

Full modular, under $100, and 600 watts minimum restricts your choices quite a bit.

If you can live with 550 minimum and semi-modular, your choices expand a lot.

I'd also consider XFX, some EVGA models, and some Rosewill models.

Yea I think 550W would actually be fine. Like I said im running a 3750k and a gtx 970 - so I think even with both overclocked 550 watts should be fine, right?

And semi-modular is definitely fine - havent bought a PSU in a while, so I didnt know there was a difference. Im not putting it in an HTPC or anything, but I do need certain cables to be long enough (like the 8pin motherboard cable in the OP). EDIT: just realized I can buy an extension if it doesnt reach.

Which would you recommend? Ive heard mixed reviews about the Corsair CX series, but it is a good price. http://smile.amazon.com/Corsair-Mod...8&qid=1434309660&sr=1-2&keywords=power+supply

Not sure I trust refurbished after just dealing with a bad psu. It was a pain to troubleshoot. EDIT: eh maybe not, I mean they tested it after fixing right? It is a good deal.

Yeah, It's a good deal and it's supposedly refurbished by corsair and sold by newegg. I wouldn't be afraid to try one if I needed one. I've always had really good luck with corsairs HX series units.

550W doesn't really need to be modular, you'll be using most cables anyway... and between semi modular and fully modular, there is no difference in practice.

Here are some good ones for a single GPU setup

Seasonic G-550 $80 @ amazon
XFX TS550 Gold $62 AR shipped @ newegg
XFX XTR 550W $81 shipped @ newegg
Antec EDGE 650W $80 AR @ newegg

If you want to get the best unit for $100: EVGA 750W G2 $105 AR @ newegg. 10yr warranty

@lehtv @ignatzatsonic - ended up just getting the refurb corsair. Gonna put my 750tx back in my main build and just deal with the extra cables. Both my other PSU's are corsairs and theyve been great so Ill try it out. Also, pretty sure it uses the same cables as my 520hx, so thats a bonus.

Thanks for the recommendations though.
