Accoustic guitar...I usually use Ernie Ball regular slinky... anybody reccommend something better? I would like to keep the price reasonable, but if there is something that feels/sounds a lot better that I am missing, let me know.

Edit:

As long as we're on the subject... I'm looking for a strap as well. However, my guitar only has one strap peg at the bottom... nothing toward the neck. Is there a specific kind of strap that is meant to be used with this... or is it simply not meant to have one...

I use Elixir Nanoweb. Costs like $13 a set but I usually change them every 4 months or so, as opposed to every month for normal strings. The coating also saves the wear and tear on my fingertips.

There's a string that attaches to the strap that you're supposed to tie onto the headstock behind the nut, IIRC.
String choices are very personal.

Thanks.

Well I have only ever used Ernie Ball... I would like to start changing it up a bit, but I don't know what's good and what's bad.

I also am a fan of Elixirs for Acoustic. I can't remember if I got the Nanoweb or the Polyweb last time though. I never change my strings near as often as I should, and they hold up well to the extended use.
Before the Elixirs, I always used Martin-Marquis strings on my acoustics.l

Like others said - it's all personal preference. A lot of people don't like Elixirs b/c it does muddy the sound a little bit - the coating on the string, but it makes the guitar easier to play. I'm a fan of them though. I also used to use D'addario's on my electric (and my current acoustic came with D'addario EXP's stock, which sounded nice and had more of a richer tone to it than the Elixirs) At $12-13 a set, buy 4-5, experiment with different sets.
