I just pressed the toggle to turn it on like normal and for some reason the button snapped. Sure enough, I shake it an there's something loose in there. No way to open it up, so I need a new one. Battery was at the end of it's life anyway. Price range is < $100. Thanks in advance.

Braun. They shave the closest of any I've tried. They don't do well with long stubble. The really expensive ones include a lot of useless stuff and aren't worth it, imo. The blade shield is rather fragile and needs to be protected when not in use. Blade replacements are available at walmart.

I've had a Braun for years and it's always been reliable. It's the model that comes with the liquid cleaning thing.

I have a Norelco CoolSkin 8060X, it's $125 on Amazon right now. The 8040X is only $89.99, but it doesn't have the rapid charger or the base. I've had it for almost two years and I can't imagine shaving with anything else.
