Here's a fuckin' pro tip... When someone's been around for 14 fucking years, their activity probably isn't suspicious. It's more likely your braindead AI is broken. That's all...

I hate the ones where you have to pick images, because every now and then it will keep asking you over and over for more and they fade in so slowly. Stop it with the stupid fancy animation I just want to get this done so I can do what I was trying to do!

But yeah you'd think that it would remember you by setting a cookie and then it won't ask for the next sites.

It's here! I'm logged in with my account, click a link to go a subforum, and I get a suspicious activity detected message. They have my cookie, they have my login data. They must be detecting my dangerous 1337 left click :^S It hasn't happened a whole lot, but it's annoying as shit when it does happen, and it's completely unnecessary.

Oh weird, I never got it here. That is indeed odd then. You'd think that once you're logged in it should not bother you anymore.

I'm a human and half the time I fail those things. Please select which of these have a road sign in them. Takes three attempts before there's one that doesn't have a sliver of corner in it that it wants you to click on.

Or you have the other ones with some word written in what looks like Aurebesh and they expect you to type what the word is.

Lame.

Maybe. Seems like a bot could create a new account, or it could try to login with an existing account.

I usually only get suspicious activity flagged if using a VPN on very busy sites. I figured too many accesses from same IP.

Only 14 years? Friggin newbs :)
:^D

Gotta start somewhere. I wasn't into computers when you joined. Got my first in the early 80s, then dropped out. Got another in the early 90s, and dropped out again. Got one for my daughter in the early 00s, and it kind of stuck, but I'm not into hardware like I was for awhile.

I hate those too, it's slightly over on the other square by 1 pixel, does it count? What about the pole holding the sign does that count as the sign? It's a guessing game really. A bot will actually have an easier time than a human since it will be able to remember which pictures are considered the thing it's asking for, and which ones arn't. So it will just memorize all the possibilities.

Apparently, google home and Alexa are programmed to talk with each other. So its just a matter of time before the machines take over.

I see the need for captchas because of bots, but some are just super annoying and badly designed. There needs to be a balance between making it harder for bots but still easy for humans.

i really hate the distorted text captchas. a lot of times the letters are ambiguous due to the distortion and/or font style, so it's easy to mistake I/L, n/m/r, etc.

the pictures aren't so bad.
