FRANKFURT, Germany (AP) - Porsche is recalling more than 18,000 of its 9-11 Carrera series sportscars to replace the exhaust pipes.


The German company says the cars being recalled are part of the Carrera S and Four-S lines and were produced between April 2004 and October of last year.

Porsche says welding on the exhaust pipe could weaken, causing it to ultimately fall off. The company says there are about 30 known cases of the problem, but there are no injuries reported.
