WoW! Someone that donated to Walkers campaign got arrested for failing to cooperate with the probe! OMG! This is far worse then the admitted criminal that signed at least 80 petitions and the other widespread fraud that's part of the recall effort. You ignorant clown.

They're actually accepting mickey mouse signatures, I believe. I mean, literally. If there's a Wisconsin address, it's accepted.

So you can be arrested for the hell of it ?

I'd always thought that people were kind of innocent until proven guilty, even in Wisconsin. I make an exception, of course, for a guy that freely admits or confesses to a crime like the guy did when he confessed to signing 80 petitions.

Arrests confirm guilt when it's a Republican, Democrats and OWS protesters are given the luxury of being innocent until proven guilty.

Why are you so paranoid about the guy who supposedly signed 80 petitions and what parallels does this have to Walker donor corruption?

Ausm does not see a problem with one person signing 80 times...

Or Mickey Mouse signing.

But if this were a dem governor being recalled, I bet that Ausm would want them tarred, feathered and put on display.

But hey, we all expect that type of shit from Ausm.

DMcowen started the thread to keep an eye on the possible recall of Gov. Walker and they've been running slow on their gathering of signatures. It seems to me that if you really wanted to recall the Gov. you would have signed a petition by now. They're still short on signatures (last I heard) and now more and more fraud is being uncovered. Anyone that cares about truth and justice in our political system would be looking pretty carefully at the corruption taking place in the Wisconsin recall effort.

Live update on the Recall effort tomorrow so you can find out where the count is at and I doubt the corruption you are afraid about will be minimal and not effect the outcome.

Do you think that this particular petition drive will prove to have a much higher number of fraud signatures then the norm?

It's more high profile and more politicized than normal, so probably. I doubt it will have more fraud than the average high profile/highly politicized petition drive though.

Could be, but this is about the highest profile recall case I can remember in a long time. Even when Gray Davis was recalled in California it didn't come close to this level of charged political atmosphere. Hopefully the petitions are going to be examined with a fine toothed comb to toss out all the fraudulent signatures. It's probably too much too hope for that the Republicans won't be attacked and smeared when they try to do it.

looks like they may have already reached the the needed numbers one month in and will announce it tomorrow:

http://shorewood.patch.com/articles...vernor-scott-walker-organizers-hit-their-goal

and they will continue to collect with the goal of reaching 1,000,000 by Jan. 17.

Its easy to do when you can sign 80 times. And valid signatures include X's, mickey, and hitler.

With no real verficiation, they all could be signed by a handfull of people with a phone book. ever signature an X, and a 'valid' address. Given this is coming from the party that doesn't care about fraud, I wouldn't be surprised. They would do everything to keep unions in power.

They plan for a number of invalid signatures on any petition drive, I doubt that the bad signatures make a significant number, mostly Walker supporters trying to sabotage the drive, IMO.

You do realize that the Wisconsin GAB has to approve and verify each signature don't you?

Not exactly. They will verify a signature exists, and that a Wisconsin address is listed. Its not really verifying a signature, as indicated it will allow Hitler and Mickey Mouse if a valid Wisconsin address is listed.. that's not much 'verification' to me.
