thanks johnnie, I have a 179. I will have to see what the serial # is to see if it has this problem. Not that i work on 500+ ac voltages or anything, but just in case.

When measuring ac voltage above 500 volts, the display on affected meters may be slow in showing a final, accurate measurement. The final reading may not be displayed for 6 to18 seconds. During this delay, the meter may not indicate that high voltage is present, placing the user in a potentially hazardous situation

Mmmmm'kay; as if only 450 volts (or so....) is NOT dangerous AT ALL.

Bah; I understand the whole point of the recall...just having fun. Very nice of Johnnie to share this w/us. I own a Fluke VOM...way too old to be considered part of this recall, though.
