Well guys its finally together and working. I haven't built a PC since my Athlon 1 GHZ, and a lot has changed.

My mobo was a MSI Platinum Neo4, and my case a Tsunami Dream. Got mostly everything hooked up apart from the top IEEE1394(Firwire) port and the top audio connections... I couldn't find a way to hook them all up.

Problems I encountered was not plugging in the 4 pin power connector next to the CPU, this took me a while to figure out, I thought my CPU was faulty. Apart from that I was really happy with the way it all went.

Loaded Windows XP then SP2, all is ok. She runs great, and benched 4975 in 3D Mark 2005 with the latest drivers. I bought from Monarch so I got HL2 which i've been playing all weekend, great game! Anyone else got a similar system? I haven't tried overclocking yet.

Here are the final specs:

Yeah the xconnects are more about looks then anything else....I think it should be ok if you don't overclock with it though....I have to agree though the PSU is overpriced crap with nice glowing LCD's in it.

if you run into any problems, especially when overclocking, sell that psu, and get a good quality one like, seasonic, ocz, fortron source, xclio, or somehting.
