Rebuilding WD ext drives into a 2-bay enclosure?

Can the external Western Digital My Books, home editions and the like be taken apart and used in external enclosures?

I have 2 120Gb drives and a less used 500Gb drive I would like to combine into one enclosure, instead of having to handle them separately.

I would like to find a three bay external enclousre - but this is what I found so far;

EAGLE Consus ET-CSIU2J-BK DUAL 3.5" SATA to USB 2.0 2-BAY JBOD Not the best one out, but an example.

Yes, why wouldn't you be able to do that?
The only thing that would make a difference is if they were IDE and you are trying to find a SATA external enclosure.
