I'm currently about 50% away from buying all the pieces for my gaming desktop and I'd really like to put it together myself. When my grandparents complained about buying a new desktop I quickly jumped in to become the hero / #1 grandson! I have a custom PC my cousin built me around 2005 for gaming. I switched over to a laptop around 2009 and around that same time my desktop's PSU died. I've done a lot of research on putting together a PC and I feel like this will be a excellent practice round for the big shabang.
Here's what I know about this PC:
- It's DDR and on the RAM it says DIMM P?
- The PSU is a "Master Cooler Model: GM520SC
- The motherboard is a DFI LanParty
* I've looked for serial-numbers, no luck
-What is a cheap PSU to switch into this box.
- Any good idea's on a really cheap case. (Too many Ultima Online PvP losses and Battlefield 1942 smokeouts and my case took a little bit of a beating)
I'm not really trying to spend more then 75 bucks and I have a preference to use TigerDirect but really any site will do.
Thank you
