Hey guys. I was a stupid head, and let my oil line to my passenger side NOVI supercharger get plugged. I killed it when I was out driving today :(

The housing looks ok, I just need new internals ( like impeller, gears, yada yada ) I was hoping someome knows of a place that sells rebuild kits for cheap. I don't have enough money to buy an entire new supercharger. ( Novi 1000 if you are wondering ) Or hell, if you know anyone selling a whole Novi charger, please let me know. A used one would be just fine.

I just got done swapping all the pipes back to the single drivers side setup I started with. Good news is that I installed a single NO2 nozzle just upstream of the throttle body for testing. I can't wit till I have time to install them all in the intake. I just got no money :( Damn loosing job economy.

does paxton sell any? i have no idea where you could get a rebuild kit... i take it the bearing is shot? maybe you could take it to a machine shop and see if they can fix it.

btw what kind of car is it on and how much boost?:)

I am sure they do. They also sell the hole 'charger for $1800 or so. The problem is, I am cheap :) I am hoping someone has insider information on them :) The system is on my '99 dodge ram with a v-10. I was shooting for the total sleeper setup so I do not have any aux gauges on the inside ( but I am thinking about adding a 3 gauge pod on the A piller ) which is why it took me a minute to figure out the boost was mostly gone. PSI with a single is 9 psi, with both is about 16.

Gimme a minute and I will snap a pic of the engine.

parked next to house You can totaly see where the other 'charger was. There is a big divot on the passenger side right where it was :) It was a pain in the butt to move everything around so they would both fit. That upper hose was a total necessity. The other output for the charger went under it.

You are prolly gonna have to send it to Paxton themselves, places like Aerosuds here just send their Vortec's back to Vortec themselves for the rebuild.

Whenever my whipple goes it's got to go back to them also.

No, no water injection. I am not that hard core yet. ;) That is one of the 9 fogger nozzles for the NO2 kit I bought. I even got the 2 extra nozzles here in FS/FT. I just put in one as I am going to start out small so I can monitor the engine better.

Paxton listed these 2 as dealers, you might want to just call one up real fast and see what the rebuild procedure is for your Novi.

Wow didn't know you were running dual blowers and N02!! :Q :D

I know your pain...
Back in '96, I "fried" the bearings on my sn-92 Paxton blown '95 GT
I did not change the fluid for over a year, "no oil line"
Street racing took it's toll...Got rid of the entire car 2 weeks later...:(

It cost me over $750 to get my Paxton SN-89 rebuilt, and I had to ship it to Southern california.

Good luck.

wow, they sure shove that engine back far enough. with nitrous AND 16#'s of boost you must have some massive injectors :Q are you running on stock internals? i want to know more about this! :)

Yep, the engine is way bak there, but think of what a V-8 would look like in that engine bay :) Engine internals are almost all stock, with the exception of a cam and some other small upgrades. Heads have been ported, and had a valve job, but are otherwise stock. RPM limit has been raised a bunch as well with the new computer.

Injectors are 100lb units, so I should be good for a while. I am at 62/3% duty cycle now. The NO2 has it's own fuel supply that does not flow through the injectors, but does come from the same fuel supply. The pump has been upgraded as well, but I think I will have to go to a bigger one just to be sure with the NO2. I really don't want to melt a piston. Whenever I get some more money, ( or blow a rod though the side of the block ) I will be rebulding the bottom end. As long as I am easy on the go pedal, I should be ok.

are they cast or forged internals on those V10s? you have big balls running that kind of stuff on stock crank/rods/pistons assuming they are cast and not forged. they're pushrod and not OHC right? i hope you have some stronger springs in there if you raised the redline ;) sounds like a hell of a project, what does it run at the track?

The Ram's have cast internals while the Viper has forged internals. I have been thinking of swapping to the forged parts as they are pretty much a direct bolt in, but I have not done it yet. It is also on my list. The engine is pushrod, yes. not OHC. Valve springs are stock. I did not raise the RPM into the straosphere or anything :)

I run fast enough at the track last time to get kicked off the track for not having a roll bar, scatter shield, or drive shaft loop. ( although it is 2 piece, and I think I may be able to get away without one ) One of my defeated oponents told on me :(

so you were in the 11's(12's? i can't remember where rules dictate roll cage etc.)? cool :) i would definitly swap in forged internals, and if you're really ambitious, blueprint and balance the whole assembly. It'll help take the abuse of the sc's and nitrous. sounds like a hell of a project, i've always liked fast trucks :)
