Two weeks ago, my Abit AN8 32X died. As it was still under warranty, I sent it in to Abit as an RMA.
They were unable to repair my original motherboard, and did not have another AN8 32X in stock...so they decided to send me an AT8-32X instead. I did not approve this swap, so now I have to decide what I want to do.
The only difference I can see between the two boards is that the AN8 32X is an nForce4 board, and the AT8 32X is an ATI Crossfire Xpress 3200 board.
All of the components in my original build should work with this board, but I am concerned about the chipset switch. Does this mean I have reinstall my OS, or can I plug this new board in, attach my peripherals, and update the chipset drivers once inside the OS?
