Reboot problems with XP

I just finished upgrading my computer (I only upgraded the motherboard and processor). I reinstalled windows, done all of the windows updates, and loaded a few programs. My system occasionaly restarts. The BSOD gives me this:

I looked it up on google for a bit. I have run chkdsk /f on all three of my partitions (2 drives). I am currently running memtest86 [update: passed twice with no errors], but I have been using the ram for 6 months with no problems, but its worth checking anyway.

Can anybody help me with this?

Specs:

AMD 64 3000+ (at stock speeds)
(I previosly had a socket 754 A64 3400+)
Soltek SL-K8TPro-939
2 X 512 PC3200 Mushkin Value Ram
ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128mb
120gb Seagate hhd
80gb Seagate hdd
NEC 3520A dvd-rw burner
Mitsubi FDD
Aspire 450w PSU

Also have:

4 80mm case fans (3 input, one exaust)
Zalman all copper cooler

That seems like a common stop error. In fact, I have the same problem myself and I have lots of important data to recover on that drive <sigh>.
Have you tried to run (in DOS):
scandisk c: /autofix

or

chkdsk c: /p/r

Do you have partition magic? If you need to recover data from the primary partition you may want to try to change the primary partition to a logical drive (partition magic) but you need a spare drive to load windows. Boot with the spare drive and you can drag and drop your data. If you find another way to the repair the stop 0x024 error please PM me with the solution and I will do the same. Good luck!

I dont have a problem with data. All of my data is on a diifferent partition (same drive as windows, should I be concerned?
So, did you change harddrives and the problem was solved?

BTW, memtest 86 ran twice with no errors

Make sure you have installed all your motherboard drivers. There may also be updated drivers for the hard drive controller.

If you're overclocking, don't, and see if that stops it. If you're overvoltaging your memory, don't.

Download MEMTEST86 and run it all night to see if your memory is stable.

I have installed all motherboard drivers.
I am not overclocking, but if I ever get it stable I plan to.
I will run memtest tonight, if I still havent resovled it.

I ran SeaTools harddrive diagntostic quick check, got "some critical errors". I have been running the full check for about 30 minutes. It is now 75% through. Will update when it is done.

Could a bad hard drive cause this problem?

Yes, I suspect it could be either bad RAM, crashing drive or some sort of software corruption.

I ran memtest last night. It passed over thirty times with no errors.

When I loaded Windows XP (which ive done three times now), the first time windows loads I get a message that says "The system has recovered from a critical error."

I ran SeaTools diagnostics and both my drives failed the test. I find this hard to beleive as I wasnt having any problems yesterday morning with either drive.

Im not sure what to do. The only thing I changed were the motherboard and processor, so I'm not sure why anything would have failed.

More help would be appreciated.

I decided to run Prime95 Blend tests and it failed instantly (rounding error). I ran small FFTs for about 2 minutes, but In-Place Large FFTs failed instantly (same problem as the blend test). Does this mean I can rule out CPU and mobo?

A few seconds after that seconds prime 95 failure windows crashed:

So, I upgraded motherboard and processor. I just remembered that I got a new video card (same exact one that I used to have).

Im 99% sure the problem lies in one of these:

RAM - ive had it for 6 months, it passed memtest86 v3.2 plenty of times last night
CPU - brand new (this didnt crash prime 95)
motherboard - i have no clue about this one
video card - I replaced my old Radeon 9800 pro with a new exact same one (maybe?)
hard drives - never had a problem with these, but who knows

If the hard drive failed the manufacturer's diagnostic, you have a problem with that as well.

I replaced the video card, ruled that out as the problem.

I was running this ram in dual channel. I took that ram out and took an old stick of 512mb ram. I was able to run 3dmark03 and prime95 torture test for an hour in this configuration. It looks like the problem was with the ram. I am able to run the same 3dmark03 and prime95 torture test with the ram in single channel mode.

Is my ram just bad for dual channel?

Also, how much of a performance difference is there between 2X 512 pc3200 single channel, vs dual channel?
