dual boot system: xp and linux.

the system is only accessible remotely (vnc)

In linux, i can go to startup manager and specify xp as the default. reboot and presto, i am in xp.

In xp, how can i specify that i want linux as the default os so i can reboot into it?

There might be a better way to do it, but I'd modify the bootloader to change the default O/S

The problem is, if he's using GRUB, that the bootloader's config file is on a Linux partition which XP can't natively alter.

I would use a mobile rack and have separate HDDs for each OS. I prefer hardware solutions. :)
