Reboot Cycle

I made a thread on this awhile ago, but can't find it. Anyways, my computer worked fine when I went to work, I left it in standby mode. When I come back and restart it, it goesto the windowsxp screen where the white squares go by in the bar, then a blue screen with the info on it pops up for less than half a second, no idea what it says, and it tries to reboot, over and over. Safe mode does nothing, it has all the command line, but then fails to boot, and it goes over and over, etc. So, any ideas what could of went wrong? Is most likely a hardware or software problem?

If "Last known good configuration" won't work you could always try a repair install (not the recovery console, repair install).
