Can one of the mods please send Rebel44 a PM telling him to stop posting this folding crap at the bottom of his posts? A lot of people disable signatures so the forum flows better and we don't have this crap, and he is circumventing it by posting it at the bottom of each post he makes.

Example: http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=2077748

edit: Just to add, this also gets quoted when people quote his posts, further proliferating it even more than a signature.

I personally see nothing wrong.
Except for his link is to another forum....Hardforum..

I dont see any rules about signatures anywhere here.... (searched for "rules" in FAQ - nothing there (unless search is broken), no link to rules in User CP, no link to rules in Quick Links etc. etc.

How should I know about signature rules when I dont see them anywhere.

2OP: I dont like your posts either, so can you please stop posting that ****? 🙂

GA's reasoning is pretty good for this one.

not to me.

I would like to see all rules about posts/sigs, because IMO I didnt break any rule. (and I doubt that my F@H sig can be anywhere near as annoying as some OPs posts).

this is like cop telling me that I am driving 60mph where there is 30mph limit announced by invisible traffic sign.

its a forum, obey the forum rules or post elsewhere? its not like a cop doing that, because its a forum, its liek someones house and you are a guest. the home owner asked you nicely to do something/stop doing something, you can abide or leave.

I didnt break any written rule. You might want to learn to READ.

Also OP is fist person who complained about this and I am using this sig for months (since Forum update).

The problem isnot with your signature as it appears now. The problem is with the following:

added as part of your posts.

Since those links have nothing to do with the topics at hand I see them as spam advertising designed to drive traffic to that site when placed as part of the post. This is not allowed and is in the forum guidelines.

You are permitted a single, simple link to your business (and by extension to sites you associate with) in your signature. This is noted in the Hot Deals Rules but has been policy here for many years. You already have that in your signature. One of the reasons the links are allowed only in your sig is that members can turn them off if they wish. If you put them in your posts, they do not get the choice and are forced to see what is essentially advertising.

You have been asked not to post them that way again. Please comply.

Oh, well since you've been breaking the rule for months, by all means, continue doing so! The TOS state that if you can get away with breaking a rule "for months", then you earn the right to break it indefinitely.

Works for Moonbeam and others in PN subforum /sarcasm 😀

No it's not... you weren't punished for doing it you were just asked to stop. No banning, no infraction, and now you know. No need to whine about it.

Because homeowners keep a list of written rules of things that are/aren't allowed, and if a guest does something that the homeowner doesn't like, but its not on that list, oh too bad! Your stuck with the guest!

The powers that be here don't even really have to explain themselves. They just do to be nice and not piss off a bunch of members.

It's pretty obvious why people wouldn't want you to add a signature to the end of every post, when signatures are meant to be a separate addition. There's no way to ignore your signature, and it unnecessarily clogs the forums.
