Same here BlackMountainCow, one of the two wires is power while the other is signaling.

Wow those pictures are worse than any other I have seen BofBnT!

Yeah that is why we have an old phone that just plugs into the phone jack. It has come in handy over the last several years during other hurricanes. NO power required just a good phone line.

I have. The number I have for his home does not work (disconnected so it may be an old number) and the work number (if I have the right place) constantly gives busy signals. :(

I've considered driving over and trying to look for him but I have reports that the area is not accessible. Sad story I heard yesterday was that some of the residents of the very heavily damaged areas were driven in on a bus to get a look at their properties BUT WERE NOT ALLOWED OFF THE BUS. :( :(

Sounds like a refugee camp story Greg, one that I hope isn't true.:(

I too have tried calling and the number I call just rings and rings.

I wish I lived there i'd join you

The hotel has heavy damage and will be closed until next march

We still have no internet or cable at home so my time here is be short at best.
Thanks for all the good thoughts.

Talking about answered prayers! Good to hear from you Jim! We are truely glad that you and your family are alive and well. We have been looking at pictures and fly over videos of your area and we feared the worst. It is soooo good to see you posting. Lilke Wolfsraider said, if you need anything, don't hesitate to ask!
