Rebates for purchases from E-ba(y)

If you buy an item off e-bay, are you eligible for any rebates that are being offered?

Possibly

Several things are to be considered

#1 (and most important) the vendor

-Do they require a receipt...or is the UPC (bar-code) enough?

#2 The seller

- Did he get it from a wholesaler? Or did he buy it from best buy/compusa and now doesnt want it.

Either way you're not likely to get a rebate

Because the vendors ALWAYS want receipts/invoices....and if he bought it from a retailer he's most likely gotten the rebate himself.

Thanks. I wasn't sure if a PayPal transaction receipt would work. I thought that most rebates were only valid if bought from a legitimate business. Though there are a lot of business's operating on e-bay now...
