rebates? 100% always?

so if I go to Tmobile and buy a 50 dollar phone, that comes with a 50 dollar rebate, and I send in the rebate....is it always 100% that I get the 50 dollar rebate back?

kind of tight on cash and I already have a phone, but if it is free and I will for sure get 50 dollars back, then I might as well do it, and maybe even sell it on Ebay too.

more like 33%. Rebate companies will do anything to delay your rebate, make you forget all about it and wind up keeping your money. That's their game plan.

i've gotten about 95% of rebates since i generally try to avoid them

i hassled HP for a $100 rebate i should have gotten for my laptop . . . came a year later!

still waiting for a rebate on a network card . . . but it has only been about 3 weeks, so i'll give it somre MORE time!

the best way to avoid not getting rebates back is to make copies of the receipt, barcode, everything and DON'T LOSE THEM

rebates suck. not worth the hassle and loops you must jump through to me. id rather pay the extra little bit of cash, or just wait for the price to come down.

Not 100% but if you keep good records and make copies of EVERYTHING then you are pretty safe. I got all of my rebates back last year, around $2000 or so total.
