What is the deal with rebates? I think today I have had my last straw.
I though it said 1$ off deodorant at Rite-Aid. When I got to the counter, it turned out to be a 1$ mail in rebate?????
I came home and called in on a rebate through Gigafast and wheresmyrebate.com... "Your rebate has been approved and will be sent out November 28"
When I questioned the date, she was very rude to me and hung up. I thought people paid to be on the phone with customers weren't supposed to hang up... I used to do 200$ rebates on important things like reluctant bigbox manufacturers so I could stack discounts and walk away with things like 9800's and P4/2.8's for $30 a piece while i was willing to have 800$ tied up over three months. But explain to me why I have a 1$ Rite aid rebate, a $3 best buy rebate, a $10 Buy.com rebate (which they dont want to honor even though it was offered in conjunction with the gigafast), $15 to TDK and $20 to Gigafast...
Why can't rebates just be illegal? Sometimes its impossible to buy something without them...
