rebate is risky

you could be holding an empty bag when you are at the bottom of the chain. some get their rebates but it is nothing more then advertisement to get more people in the scheme. i'd never touch any rebate anymore unless the price of the product i'm buying is low enough to buy, over inflated prices on product with rebate to save a little is a big scam. you would wonder how they make money if everyone receives their rebate check, answer:not everyone will regardless of your legitimatibility.
let's say the first 1000 people will get theirs, the next 2000 or more will be dumped in order to stay profitable. also the money can also be invested to lenders as well to make even more money.
this is just my thought, i could be wrong.

You're wrong. (This comes from someone who has submitted hundreds of rebates and gotten them all.)

...and I don't mind beating him about the head & neck in Off Topic. 🙂

Read the directions carefully. If it says to circle the date, do it. Follow along as best as you can, even if one product has two rebates. I've gotten over 90% (more like 95% maybe) of my rebate $ back.

I do them all the time and have never failed to get one. As mentioned by Ionizer86 following all the directions is important.

i've gotten all but one rebate in the past 3 years (some'n like 50 or so).. and i'm sure i could've gotten that one if only i'm not too lazy and don't have time to really push on it.

I'll take a deal as long as it's not bad BEFORE the rebate. $30 UPS? Sounds good. $20 rebate on top of that? Killer!

...too bad the 450VA UPS only is rated at 200W and won't pass the "yank the cord" test with my system.
