Reauthoring a wedding video

So I recently attended a weeding and they got this video service to come in a do the wedding. But there video is pretty lame, however they got a few good shots that I would like. So I grabbed the .vobs off the dvd to edit when I got back to my place. The video is NTSC 720x480 with 4:3 and LPCM audio. Now I have used dvd2avi to make a d2v project and a seperate wav file then I try to slap them together with tmpenc to no avail. they come out no sound. I just don't get it. Doesn't even let me save at avi, its some .[m2v+wav] shens. Help would be appreciated. 🙂
