Reasons to get P4 and reasons to stick with an AMD

OK guys, if you are doing video editing stuff and intense graphics and have the cash, go for the P4. If you are just doing standard stuff (gaming, internet, email, word processing, music) you will be happy with a AMD cpu! I got the P4 because I do video stuff, with even anandtech (who is very critical about the P4) says the P4 is better at! If I wasn't into video stuff, I would have gotten an AMD!

Hmmmm sounds like a comparison between a CAD workstation and a home PC....oh wait, they're both meant for everyday usage, but one still costs 3x as much

Yep. I see quite a few posts around here from Pentium 4 users justifying their CPU purchase. Not many AMD users that own Athlons do that. I'm not implying anything. It's just an observation.
