Could internet nerds get anymore butt hurt over this phone? It's a solid device with a popular ecosystem. Some people don't want to be bothered with the tedium of customizing android.

This is as bad as the console wars or nvidia/amd.

But a couple nights sitting in a line doing nothing is just fine?

In those 48 hours you could have earned 348 dollars in minimum wage and got oodles of nice accessories. Or if you have a slack ass job, could have spent 48 hours customizing and learning to write apps for android.

Sadly, I know someone that really wasn't that much less stupid about getting the iPhone 5 the other day.

Well, that's an assumption, so it's not applicable to all owners of the phone. I can still walk into the fifth avenue store and grab the iphone 5 right now. Of course, there are plenty of android users buying their galaxy s3 who can't afford it, so I don't think that problem is exclusive to the iphone.

I wouldn't spend 48 hours customizing my phone. Doesn't appeal to me. I wouldn't spend 48 hours on a line either.

Ok, then your conversation belongs in one of the other 50 threads.
This one is about people spending days in line for the thing.

People say it's good so it must be good, so I have to buy it no matter what.

See how Apple have made millions its slaves and they still praise it. Sigh.

If the Roman Empire had cell phones they would have collapsed in two years.

The girl is real, she's just not representative of the iPhone population as a whole. It probably took the interviewer some searching to find a gem like her.

No I've seen that look before, she was searching for her lines.

I told the people in my office who are all dying for their new company provided phone, of which everyone so far has chosen an Apple 5, that it can't do simultaneous voice and data. Their response: "Awww, that sucks." I got an email today from one of them, to a bunch of other staffers, that they talked to somebody at Verizon and, my bad, it CAN do simultaneous voice and data! Everyone started emailing back and forth "yaaaay!".

Ughh. I didn't even bother informing them as they don't care either way. They're all thrilled to be getting their Apple 5's and I just don't give a shit anymore about helping them make an informed decision.

She says she never owned a smartphone or Apple product, but at end says she has a "
Apple 4" (iPhone 4) and wants to upgrade. She is lying and it's fake. It's all for youtube views/money.

This. As much as I hate Apple and a lot of its users, this was obviously staged.

It came off as though she was mentally handicapped. I don't think that's what they were going for.

It did seem that way for the first 1/3 or so of the video, but after that you could tell that she was mangling/forgetting lines. I'm mostly surprised they put it up there without reshooting it.

Might have been funny if they used a real person. Shouldn't have been hard to find one idiot in line. This girl was so fake, it wasn't entertaining.
